Interview With Gera From SweetsFoods Blog

sweetsfoods
Firstly, I want to say thanks a lot to you Ileane for the possibility of this interview. It's a pleasure to be featured with all your readers. As a tiny introduction my name is Gera, short name of Gerardo (Spanish) or Gerald in English and I live in Uruguay.
I've been a foodie and also techie – all my life. Just for reference technically, I began with the first computers with DOS operating system, and fortran language. Professionally, I'm in the engineering-area interested in business themes, when I'm not blogging 🙂

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGING AND HOW DID YOU PICK THE NAME SWEETSFOODS FOR YOUR BLOG?
I've been reading blogs for more than 5 years but I started as a blogger near the end 2008/starting 2009
I don't put a concrete date because at the beginning my posts were sporadic and with few frequency. Today I wished I had more posts and regularity in the early stages.
Why the name of my blog? Well, I choose a foodie name as you guess because I love sweet foods this is the main reason. At the same time I train to burn the kcals [calories] involved in the process.
But recently I'm shifting my blog gradually to be more a “blogging & social media” blog with a mix of food themes. My tech-side is appearing and I can't stop it!

Why this change? Because I've re-evaluated my blogging long-term strategies and as a foodie it isn’t my point to make a cookbook or design my own recipes, because I'm just a food-lover.
On the other side, adding more technical /social topics, the scenario looks better and wider, reaching new people at the blogosphere.
I've been mentioning these facts at my blog several times and I assume that readers are noticing it.

sweetsfoodsGERA, YOU HAVE SUCH A DELIGHTFUL AND DELICIOUS LOOKING LOGO, WHO DESIGNED IT FOR YOU? DID YOU GET YOUR BLOG DESIGN FROM THE SAME ARTIST?
My avatar and my blog-header were designed by me. I like playing with photo-editors programs when I've time.
I've changed the header lately, because at the start it had a collage of desserts as the centre, but now I've featured more a social aspect at least at the top, due to the changes I'm doing, already explained before. My blog is in Blogger with a theme I've tweaked and my comments are with Intense Debate but with some hiccups lately with them. The future will see if I migrate to WordPress.

YOUR BLOG IS AN INTERESTING MIX OF RECIPES, CONTESTS, BLOGGING TIPS AND SOCIAL MEDIA ADVICE. WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO BLEND THESE TOPICS ON SWEETSFOODS?
Bizarre combo, isn’t it? Originally I put my efforts on food-subjects basically and not mentioning too much technical posts. Contests & giveaways appeared naturally with companies offering to do the same; while later I invested some time to promote even more the idea. As you know giveaways are like candies to kids and we all love freebies!

Recently I'm entering deeper into the benefits of blogging and social media arena, this fact allows me to explore themes that I enjoy a lot and hope to my old & new readers too. My blog never was a typical “food blog” because I've never posted only recipes and recently less food, than before, so I can call it like a food – social media blog. As you see, I like breaking blog rules when I can.

First we're bloggers and second we should choose our niche. I remark over and over that blogging is a mix of ingredients, namely: writing, grammar (my weakness as my language is Spanish), copywriting, research, technical aspects, internet marketing, SEO, social networking, photography…and the list go on and on…If a blogger doesn’t understand that you must have an idea of most of the points mentioned, it'll be difficult to have success, whatever is the definition of success for her/him.
My target is bringing to my readers successful blogging recipes based in social media concepts. It doesn't matter if you're a foodie or not, because if you love blogging like me, blogging-social themes are universal.

The SweetsFoods Approach to Social Networking

HOW HAS SOCIAL NETWORKING IMPACTED YOUR BLOG AND WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE SOCIAL NETWORKING TOOLS?
Social networking for me is crucial and should be for all bloggers, but unfortunately it isn't. I've found and I'm still finding bloggers that have zero idea about it and this is very annoying.
Pick up a niche and you'll find them, no matter if they “belong” to A, B or C – blogger's lists, whatever. They seem like bots, no replying to comments, only asking but never giving, not interacting, really I don't understand them and why so many make those social media fails. For this reason is that I'm constantly updating my Google reader.

My favorite social networking tool is StumbleUpon, where I'm active frequently; a great community yes a community – not just only a social bookmaking tool. You can find there a lot of interesting people as well as a way to increase blog traffic, even in old articles.
There's no-brainer but the other is Twitter because Twitter is a power networking tool and I need to have more time at Facebook. I like also BlogEngage, MMOSocialNetwork and I need to explore others like Bloggerluv, etc. With more and more social sites appearing, it isn't easy to have time for all.

ARE YOU USING ANY SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUES? WHAT’S IS A GOOD SEO TIP FOR NEW BLOGGERS?
Yes I'm trying to improve my SEO as soon as I “digest” some technique that can be applied to my blog. You can do blogging without SEO, but you can have better results with, at least, some SEO-friendly posts.
I'm not an expert in the SEO-field, but some basic tips could be:
– Do a research of the appropriated keywords related to your post (long tail keywords are better) with the free tools like Google Adwords Keywords and Wordtracker. Then insert them in title, first sentences of your article and into the body. (Don't overdo it, just that feel natural)
– Insert your keywords in the URL of the posts avoiding if possible, unnecessary words.
– Write for your readers and not for the machines, aiming to mingle the seo and human worlds.
– Use synonyms, plurals or related keywords in the articles, use tools like Google Wheel for brainstorming.
– Use keywords in the “alt” properties of the images you put on your posts.
– Interlink using “anchor text” in the posts, instead of using the infamous “click here”. It's better a link to your own blog, for instance: “how to customize your amplify page” than how to customize your amplify page, click here – bad!
– Post outgoing links to worthy blogs or articles with the correspondent “anchor text”, again.
– Suggest to search engines the importance within the text with H1, H2, H3, etc plus with bold and italics.

Of course there are tons of SEO-techniques this is just a few that can be done often.

WHAT DO YOU REALLY ENJOY THE MOST ABOUT HAVING A BLOG?
Love meeting new people, more that I'm in a Country (Uruguay, in South America) that isn’t well known outside and “far” of all, just only known for the football and Uruguayan food plus in the recent World Cup that we achieved the 4th place.

I really wish that someday I can meet several bloggers/readers off-line in person not for photos or posts, in that way the social networking will be completed and successfully-closed as it should be, well at least this is my concept about social media 😉

Ileane thanks so much again for your Interview!

  1. Gera, this is an awesome interview and I really thank you for giving me such candid responses to the questions. I admire your blogging style and I know that you are a great social networker. I didn’t realize that English was your second language until we talked last week!

I love the idea that your blog has evolved into what I like to call a “hybrid” blog where you have both food and tech articles. If you ever decide to migrate over to WordPress keep me posted. In the meantime I’ll be sure to keep visiting your blog and follow your Tweets and Stumbles.
I’m on your Facebook page too!

Have a great day Gera, it’s been a pleasure working with you and I hope to do it again sometime real soon!

    1. So many thanks Ileane for the interview!! As you see my blog and idea is evolving to a more social-technical one but with a foodie-touch.

Yes I struggle with English this is the reason that writing takes more time for me.
You’re welcome in visiting me at SU and of course at Twitter, Facebook and other social networks.

Enjoy a Great Wednesday and off to promo this post in few moments 🙂

      Cheers,

      Gera

  2. I will read the post after a bit but first of all, please, let me share my excitement to introduce with Gera! I saw his photograph for the first time here!

Hi, my name is Suresh Khanal and I blog at SEO MMO Tips. Nice meeting you here.

I’d like to thank Ileane for this opportunity to get more about Gera.

    1. Hey Suresh, It was my pleasure to have Gera accept my invitation. Thank you for your support. Talk to you soon.

  3. Suresh, pleasure to meet you here again, you’ve a great blog too and you’ve done an excellent guest post on Ileane’s blog about SEO.

My photo was on my blog since several months ago, but I recognize that my sweet avatar is particular, it doesn’t say anything about gender.

    Best for you,

    Gera

  4. Hi Ileane,
Great interview. I like that this is an interview of a blogger in a niche other than the making money niche. It goes to show that there are many different ways to succeed at blogging.

    1. Nice to meet you Richard! Agree with you that it is interesting to explore different niches in that way you can find diverse points of view, stories and meet new people.

      Cheers,

      Gera

  5. Hi Gera
Lovely to read your interview. I have seen your avatar on several sites I also visit and comment on. Great to learn a little about you. I thought your site must be mostly about food; so now I know differently. Thanks for sharing.
    Patricia Perth Australia

    1. Patricia glad you like it and thanks to Ileane for that. My avatar is food-related but my blog isn’t strictly as you’ve read. It seems that we visit common bloggers.
By the way love lavender 🙂

      Cheers,

      Gera

  6. Gera – the evolution of your blog is especially interesting. Indeed, I have happily watched it evolve. You did make me think for a moment -“Why am I doing a food blog when I have no interest in using it professionally – i.e. cookbook.” When I could answer that I am passionate about it and it’s personal and not professional- I am satisfied.

    1. Claudia this question was in my mind since some months ago, especially reading all top notch food bloggers that their interest was to improve baking, or waiting to teach cooking-classes or release a cookbook or similar, but this isn’t my interest.

I enjoy speaking about food but I stop at this point and I want to add other themes also; there are more outside of that, at least for me. This is the reason of the increment of my blogging/social media posts.

If you’re satisfied with your blog and it’s personal, not professional, good for you and go ahead! 🙂

      Cheers,

      Gera

  7. As always, so great to learn more about you. You are always full of information – most of which I can’t say I know! =) Thanks for sharing – and for finding your niche!

    1. Belinda thanks for commenting at Ileane’s blog!

I try my best to give assorted and interesting information but you know, I’m still learning a lot too 😉 Yes my niche is like a recipe, several worlds in one place, hope it’ll taste good haha!

      Cheers,

      Gera

  8. What a brilliant interview, now we know a little more about the blogger behind Sweetsfoods, I’m an avid reader of the SweetsFoods and it is one of the blogs that I do enjoy reading, even better now I know a bit more about Gera 😉

    1. Thank you Karen – happy you find this interview brilliant! Yes I know and enjoy reading yours too! Well, you know now a bit more about me 😉

      Cheers,

      Gera

      1. Ah Ha! The power of the blogger interview, I’m always on the look out for some more to do, time permitting 😉

  9. I’mm back again after going through the post.

Sweetfood does not necessarily mean eatables, it can be food for thought, knowledge etc. It appears you are gradually shifting to techie stuff from those delicious world. What about starting a new blog for your new interest?

StumbleUpon, I used for some time and still I’m looking for some knowledge a few nice tips to get most out of it. Hope to get a lovely post soon from you about this topic, if possible.

    1. Suresh, I think that StumbleUpon can be confusing because we are used to straight-forward site like Blog Engage that say – submit your post and you’ll get traffic. StumbleUpon is more like – find something interesting (not your own post) and others that like it will come here and find it to (hence the name StumbleUpon). Therefore while it is very possible for you to get traffic from SU it’s the indirect method versus the direct method that we are accustomed to.

Once you understand that (don’t feel bad it took me about 9 months) you can have a different outlook and change your expectations. Mike did a good post on the topic and brings up some good strategies but keep in mind there are no guaranteed results, just cross your fingers and hope people StumbleUpon your posts. IMHO, success in getting huge amounts of traffic is very hard to duplicate.

How You Can Have 1000 Visitors In A Day With StumbleUpon [Or A Guide To StumbleUpon Traffic] No offense to Mike but I noticed just now that this particular post only has one Stumble. The one that he got the SU traffic on is An Awesome Graphical Guide To 22 Proven Ways To Make Money Online
Btw – I love Mike’s blog and I think you will too.

      1. Good tips Ileane! Yes BE is different to SU. At SU there is a lot interaction with other persons in reviews, internal messages and even in sharing, this is the key…again – social networking – in an honest and sincere point of view.

I’ve found several online friends by SU and then was to Twitter, Digg, this effect spread to other networks. There is no a magic formula but you can prepare posts for SEO and for social media (not always are a good mix) but sometimes is possible.

        Cheers,

        Gera

      2. Thank you Ileane for this wonderful insight. I guess the content should be really very strong, otherwise, what I noticed is friends are comfortable to vote-up a post if it is already submitted, but its a bit rare anybody will fill up all those fields to submit a post. But, as I understood, stumbleUpon expects others to submit, not myself, isn’t it?

Thanks for the links of Mike’s posts.

        1. Suresh SU doesn’t require to others submitting your posts but they also don’t want to you – only – stumble your own content.

Is better others submitting your posts? It depends, sometimes some users put your post in a wrong category, or they haven’t any “weight” and your post is completely ignored.

Balance is the key, if nobody stumbled your content for some days do it yourself, but mixing content of others in the middle.

          Cheers,

          Gera

    2. Suresh you’re right I’m shifting to techie stuff but still will be food-posts, but less. It’s a good idea a new blog but I have little time to manage one, for two will be more complicated.

About StumbleUpon I’ve read several guides, few are really useful and it’s easy why, because they are theoretical but if you don’t use it you’ve no real experience about it. It seems that I’ll have to write my own guide there.
Some SU tips – use it like Twitter:
      – You don’t tweet only your material, there the same. Stumble other articles and, from time to time, one of your own.
      – On Twitter you use #hastags, in SU apply categories to the posts, in that way is like auto-emails to your followers interested in that topics.
      – On Twitter you RT, there share with other stumblers (but don’t overdo it) – don’t share crap, or the worst “plz click my ads”, for sure you’ll get banned for other users or maybe the big SU brother is watching your stumbles.
Well I see I’m having some material for an article LOL, because these are only few advices.
      Hope they are useful 🙂

      Cheers,

      Gera

  10. As always, a pleasure to meet up with Gera at Sweet Foods and now here. I’ve yet to get a handle on SU Gera {I remember telling you that ages ago. Status quo for me I’m afraid}. I’m off to explore the SEO and keyword links you talk about. So much to do, so little time, yet an interview so beautifully written! Thank you Ileane for interviewing the Sweet Foods guy. It’s a great post!

    1. Nice to see you here Deeba! Yes I gave you some SU advices long time ago, no problem it happens, time is finite for multiple tasks; we should concentrate in a few well-done than a lot, more and less.

Thanks for your comment, visit (come back soon!) and in behalf of Ileane as well. 🙂

      Cheers,

      Gera

  11. Ileane and Gera.

Thanks so much for allowing us to get to know you a little more Gera! I have been following your blog for quite some time, as you have also been supporting mine (both of you!) so it’s nice to get to know the man behind the mask – so to speak.
Maybe you should eventually move into the Dentist Niche – only choice after all this sweet food surely? 🙂

Ileane – fantastic format, brilliant questions, insightful post.

Thanks guys – and Gera, Awesome man….DOS LOL have not heard that in a while

    1. Alex you targeted precisely, seeing my sweet avatar more some sweet posts, we could need a dentist urgently LOL!

Yes Ileane has done a beautiful interview with very good questions – fundamental 🙂

Thanks to you Alex! You’ve a great and useful blog – but I’m sure you’ll not talk about DOS there today, is totally outdated 😉

      Cheers,

      Gera

  12. I have met Gera in Hesham’s.

I guess i replied his comment, that his blog is a dofollow blog.

At that time i thought Gera is a female (sorry.. LOL)

Plus his gravatar with stawberries on the pic made me thinking Gera was a she.

Thanks Ileane for the post, now i know Gera is a he. It’s really great to know another blogger more close.

Cheers, and good luck with Gera for his blog 😀

    1. Kimi I do remember that reply yes! I had that doubt because my SEO-tools told me that, but I needed a confirmation from outside – thanks!

No problem I’m a man – it seems I’d change my avatar for other one more “masculine” LOL 🙂
For that reason, I’ve put my pic on my blog and in this case one outdoor photo but with a tiny avatar included (to be recognized if not, I lost my identity haha..)
The same to you and best of the luck Kimi!

      Cheers,

      Gera

      1. Gera,

I have no idea with the others, lol, but i was obviously wrong about your gender.

But now i know, so i guess you don’t have to change your avatar to more “masculine” ones LOL.

Yes, i have checked about me page in your blog too 🙂

        Thanks Gera, cheers.

        1. Kimi much better if I don’t need changing my avatar if not I’ll have a branding-problem haha.
My about me should be updated but it is a nice resume of myself.

          Cheers,

          Gera

      1. Suresh I didn’t know that my avatar expressed that point, may be I’d re-touch it a little 😉

        Cheers,

        Gera

  13. Thanks for interviewing Gera, Ileane. It’s fun to read up on a fascinating man (from Uruguay, no less!). Makes sense to stretch into the social media/techie aspect, hey, Gera? Unless, like me, you really ARE developing recipes and want to share that 🙂
But, keeping up the posts AND carrying on in real life can be challenging… I need to get off the computer, make soup at The New Deli, and add more New Deli food scraps to our compost pile. Somehow. All in one day!

    1. Thanks for the visit and comment Jennifer! Yes perhaps I’m developing recipes but more technical – hope they’re edible 🙂
Keep coming and send me that soup, today is cold here!

      Cheers,

      Gera

  14. Hi Ileane, Hallo Gera !

Brilliant interview, a great read & thanks Gera for the Basic SEO Tips . I definitely need some guidelines when I finally (hopefully hopefully soon) find time to develop & properly publicise the new noaspa site

Really like the idea of an offline meet-up by the way … and definitely wouldn’t be against it being in Uruguay !

    Cheers

    Will

    1. Will thank you! Just were few basic SEO tips, I’m far on that field of being an expert, I’m still learning in that area.
Really hope you’ll find the light to boost the new noaspa site very soon – noble cause!

An offline meet-up would be the online social networking led to a maximum exposition. In my country – when you want 🙂

      Cheers,

      Gera

      1. Hi Gera,

Just tried to send you a DM on Twitter ….but it was surprisingly difficult if you follow me( ha ha!!).

Anyway, just to let you know it’s been a crazy month of work together with an ill girlfriend having to go to hospital and hence the lack of internet activity. However both situations seem to be thankfully much better now and the light for the new noaspa really should be burning at least a little more brightly by next week !

        All the very best

        Will
(dreaming of Uruguay – with currently 429 followers on Twitter 😉

        1. Will, bizarre I’m following you at Twitter, lately it isn’t working ok with the new changes.

Oh I didn’t know it, hope your girlfriend will have a speedy recovery soon!
The followers at twitter no matter if they’re bots – I prefer quality if possible.

The best for both to you and your girlfriend! 🙂

          All the best,

          Gera

          1. Hallo Will!
There was a problem sending DM’s through Twitter earlier, but it was fine on HootSuite. I had the same experience.

I’m glad you guys are following each other, I’m sure I’ve seen you chatting on Twitter before.

            Thanks for the comments Will.

  15. Thoroughly enjoyed the interview with Gera. He’s terrific. I hope I can pick up some of his tips and have them work for me.

Thanks for sharing Gera. You are terrific and very generous to share you knowledge with everyone.

    Joanne

    1. Greetings Winelady Cooks, glad you enjoyed the post. I see that you are a CommentLuv member, that’s excellent. Thanks for the visit.

    2. Joanne so happy you enjoyed the same and some tips can be applicable frequently.
Thanks to Ileane for the possibility!

      Cheers,

      Gera

      1. Much appreciate the link-love Ileane! The contents are near-random (it depends of the companies) but I hope the social posts will be more frequent.

        Cheers,

        Gera

    1. Many thanks for the visit and comment Sara!
I need going with you to Vegas next time 😉

      Cheers,

      Gera

  16. I agree with your last point. I would really like to meet some of you all in person. Hopefully before we are all too old to use a computer!

    Cheers,
    Tia

    1. Hi Tia, I know it would be a fun get together. Especially if Gera brings the Sweets 🙂

On another topic, I mentioned you in a comment that I left on a guest post I did about Video Blogging over at ComLuv. I was talking about the post you did that mentioned DoFollow links on Viddler. Can you please share the to that post with me so that I can pass it along. Tristan is getting into video blogging now and I know he’ll enjoy the post.

      Thanks Tia!

      1. Ileane I didn’t know about your guest post, I’m off to read it 🙂

        Have a great weekend,

        Gera

        1. Gera, I saw the question you left in the comment over at CommentLuv. I need to do a little digging and I’ll get back to you asap. Thanks for leaving a great comment.

          1. Thanks Ileane! It was not my intention to take out your time, no problem about it. Have a great Sunday!

            Cheers,

            Gera

  17. Exceptional interview. Virtually everything I know about improving my online presence has come from something I learned at Gera’s blog. It is the only technical blog I read and it’s the only one I need to read.

    1. Hi Chrisc, I’m sure Gera will be blushing from ear to ear when he sees this lovely comment. Thanks for stopping by with it. I hope the interview gave you some new insights to the SweetsFoods blogger!

    2. Chris thanks for your compliment! Anyway, I think you’d read at least also BasicBlogTips for useful tech-posts and info 🙂

      Cheers,

      Gera

  18. I wouldn’t miss Gera’s posts for the world. He is unbelievably generous in sharing his knowledge and in-depth research on the technical side of blogging, and I have learned so much in that respect from him. But Gera also leads by example in another crucial way: he’s the kindest, most exquisitely well mannered blogger I’ve ever known. He simply NEVER forgets or is too busy to thank, congratulate, respond, comment, and or send out good cheer to his online friends. I’m not remotely up to his standard yet, but I’m hopeful that I might be someday!

    1. Barbara, sounds like you have the same opinion of Gera that I do. I’m sure you don’t know this, but this is the very first interview that I’ve done ever! In fact if he would have said no, there wasn’t anyone else I had in mind. I think that the name SweetsFoods catches your attention, but the blogger behind the name is what holds your interest. Thanks for stopping by Barbara, please visit again soon.

      1. Ileane I didn’t know that this is your first interview – what an honor!! 🙂

        All the best,

        Gera

    2. Barbara other compliment which I much appreciate – I don’t know if I deserve it in overall, but thanks again! 🙂

      All the best,

      Gera

  19. Great interview. The part I like best is when he talks about having a niche, yet still being able to talk about other things on his blog. Man, if that’s not me! Great going, both of you.

    1. Great you liked Mitch! I realized that restricting to a particular niche perhaps for some people is good but I tried to have some open-mind to not be tied and if I need to change, just do it 🙂

      Cheers,

      Gera

  20. @Ileane You did a fine job for a first interview and picked a very knowledgeable interviewee. Awesome questions! Thank you for sharing the transcript. Did you also do an audio?

@Gera Smart move to revamp your web focus to better include your passions. Love the fact that you can blog about such subjects as tech and foodies, which definitely seem a “bizarre combo,” as you say! BTW, your English is quite good! Looking you up on StumbleUpon and Tumblr, too.

    1. Hey Vernessa, it was strictly an online interview. I’d better take some Spanish lessons before I do audio with Gera. I’d love to add “bi-lingual” to my resume one day. 🙂

      1. May be in the future with my Spanglish and if I have an idea of the questions could be possible audio 😉

        Cheers,

        Gera

    2. Vernessa nice to meet you! I know is a bizarre combo and some foodies may be don’t like it or the contrary for techies the same effect, but if they think with a “narrow mind” about what is blogging…well is better to not counting them as my readers.

Thanks for about my English! The worst scenario is when a text is plenty of slang and uncommon phrasal verbs – there is no dictionary or online translator that can solve it. I’m still finding words that I don’t understand completely the meaning.

      Cheers,

      Gera

    Hello,
Nice article for anyone who need plan for wedding. I like it very much. Thank you for writing such type article. I will arrange a wedding ceremony very soon and this site helped me.
    Thanks

    1. April, I’m not sure how many wedding planning tips Gera has on his SweetsFoods blog, but it won’t hurt to look.

      1. Really I don’t have any wedding planning tips by the moment, maybe in the future it is a new unexplored niche for me 😉

        Cheers,

        Gera

  23. Hi Gera:

it feels like it is a party at Ileane and everyone is invited. I was so late to arrive that i missed all the fun. Any ways it is better that I made it than never. Gera I already got to know you and your all round personality but this Interview has helped me to know you better. I am happy for you as you are moving towards a better direction all the time. Keep up.

    All the best

    Fran A

  24. A very usefull post – Thank you very much I hope you dont mind me writting about this article on my blog I will also link back to this post Thank you

  25. Gera, aren’t you afraid to lose loyal readers that are foodies but not into blogging and tech?
Of course you get new readers who love blogging and tech but the loyal readers are losing a great food blog.
Isn’t it an option to have 2 seperate blogs? Or will that cost too much of your time. Writing for 2 blogs.

    1. Danny you’re right perhaps some foodies will not share my vision of a wider aspect of blogging, when you to have to do a little of everything: copywriting, SEO, marketing, social networking and so on. If this is case, is better that they are not my readers anymore.

Yes and it’s logical to have 2 different blogs, but I don’t have time to maintain both and I don’t want to start from scratch other blog.
My new slogan is social media with foodie flavor. I know it isn’t a normal combo, but I’m also sure that is unique.

I’m having readers that are foodies that are jumping to more “tech – social” stuff and in other cases, they will not be reading all the high tech blogs available, but they feel more comfortable with a foodie explaining that more basic techie-points.

      Cheers,

      Gera
