I love acronyms. They make good short blog posts. They have the ability to drive home the point with great effect. Acronyms also have the ability to stick with you for a long time.
Do you still remember the order of the colours of the rainbow. I bet that little ditty is swimming around in your head right now. I would also have a guess that you learned that in school, probably primary school.
This being my first guest post here on Basic Blog Tips, I thought I would start out with an acronym. It's basic short to the point and goes well with the blog theme, niche and title.
DEFINITION – An acronym (pronounced AK-ruh-nihm, from Greek acro- in the sense of extreme or tip and onyma or name) is an abbreviation of several words in such a way that the abbreviation itself forms a pronounceable word. A word formed from the initial letters or groups of letters of words in a set phrase or series of words.
Brain – The best tool you have is your brain. Use it well.
Audience – Remember who you are writing for. Your audience is the most important aspect of your blog.
Simplicity – Don't try to be too complicated. Keep it simple. Less is often more.
Information – People want to be informed. They seek after knowledge. It is your duty to supply that.
Content – Content is King. Concentrate on delivering good quality fresh content.
Best – Always seek to be the best in your niche. Always seek to write your best. If not, don't write at all.
Love – Love what you do. Love what you write about. Love your audience.
Observant – Keep a look out as to the needs of your readers. Then fulfil their needs and your blog will flourish.
Give – Blogging is about giving. Giving knowledge, giving time, giving help. It is better to give than to receive.
Time – Blogging takes time. It takes time to build up a reputation. Time to build up a community
Innovation – Don't let your blog get like the rest of the average blog. Be inventive. Be different.
Professional – Always keep it real. Always be professional.
Schedule – Freshness is the life blood of every blog. Schedule fresh original blog post regularly.
Perhaps you can come up with some acronyms yourself. How about the word BLOG. What acronyms can you come up with that would define what blogging is all about?

Using the I for Ileane would have been good, but then it would not apply to everyone. Unless we all change our name to Ileane

When I was young at school and then in college the only way I could remember things was to create acronyms etc for things.

Content is still king. Remember, those sites have tons of content, even if they’re stealing it from others most of the time.
Yes, autoblogs can be useful as helping us if we search for something.
But those who don’t put links back to the original content is kind of stealing.
To me, the good content goes to the original article, and not in copycat autoblogs.

OK I left a reply but did not click the reply button. What’s up with me. Anyway, you can read it further on in the comment thread, but basically I understand that these content auto blogs are irritating to day the least.
Google is trying hard to not rank them, but life goes on and we deal with it I guess.
Really great article on becoming a better blogger Robert Bravery. I wonder how long it took you to come up with that acronym for blog tips that is really awesome. I think they were all great, but I really like G which is for giving and L which is for loving what you do. Because I think to be a successful blogger you should both love what you do and give even if you are not getting anything in return initially. Great post.
Kimi, Yes I think those autoblogs suck. But remember that Good Content is still King. You are writing for your readers not for the search engines primaraly.
Second, I heard that Google is trying it’s hardest to identify original content and give the credit ranking where it’s due
Third, sometimes when your content is scraped, it’s not all that bad.

Awesome tips Robert. Actually Acronyms help a lot and I have been using acronyms to memorize a lot of things right from school days. This creative acronym that you made also has given me a lot of helpful things to remember

Acronyms are great 🙂 .
People should use Acronyms to remember stuff more often and use analogies to explain things.
I think simplicity can not be emphasised enough.
“you do not truly understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother”
