However, I want to mention that “visual” content also pays a vital role in CTRs, because people related better with visuals. In fact, study has proven that users process visual information 60,000× more than text content. It goes to show that visuals would increase your CTR.

    I love the idea of adding the year to make a blog post current. In fact, that’s something I am thinking of doing to some of my posts in 2019.

    But, the very thing that makes them current when you post is what will render them stale a year later. Yikes!

    Of course, there is a solution, Every January 1, edit all your titles. But that seems like a lot of work. In some cases, one would not put a year. In other cases, switching the year also means updating the content.

    So I suppose one needs to very careful about which posts get the year added. And then, one needs a system to keep track of the posts that need to be updated. That can get complicated.

    So this is an issue I’m still thinking about.
