There are a good number of blogging tips blogs online today, but only a handful of them get noticed or generate a significant amount of blog traffic and readership. Not every blog goes on to become another “Basic Blog Tips” or “ProBlogger”.
Even though many bloggers find they can earn a fair amount of money, for most of us we can't make as much as the big A-list bloggers. 
Moreover to create a big authority blog, you need to do a lot of hard work. When I say a lot of work, I mean writing quality content, driving a great deal of blog traffic, building high quality links and making connections with other bloggers in your niche.
The most important task among these – is generating and endless stream of quality, targeted traffic to your blog.
In this post I am going to share 5 simple strategies that you can use to double your blog traffic in 2013.
5 Tips To Double Your Blog Traffic
1. Google+ Communities
As most of you already know about the newest Google+ feature – Communities. By posting informative articles to the communities, you can double your website traffic.
If you really want to get a lot of brand and traffic exposure, you need to post your content inside the appropriate Google+ Community. And don’t just share links from your own site, but also comment on and share other people’s content.
By engaging in the right Google+ community, you would be able to make the connections with other members and thus get traffic to your blog.
Here is a screenshot of my stats from Google Analytics. You can see that I got a nice spike in my blog traffic rankings when I finally started using the Google+ communities+.
Head over to Google+ and enter your keywords in the search box, then refine your search by clicking “Communities”. Check out a few of the top results until you find the ones that are active and engaging. I think it’s worth a try.
2. Link Outreach
Link outreach is hard, you send 100+ emails and end up getting just a few links.
No not always the case, last month I sent an email to 10 blogging friends who are well-known in my niche for sharing successful blogging tips, and almost everyone replied. I even ended up getting two guest posts – SEO for WordPress – What Every Blogger Should Know and 5 Powerful WordPress Plugins to Help Prevent Content Theft from Matthew Barby and Adam Connell, respectively.
Few things to consider:
- Write more long form content. You need to have quality content (at least 800+ words) before you even do link outreach.
- Engage with those on social media sites. Before sending an email pitch, you should connect with those people before hand.
3. Focus on Quality over Quantity
Ever since I started focusing on writing quality content, my traffic has been doubled. Though, those types of blog posts take a lot of time but the benefits are endless. Over time I have learned that this is one of the best tips for good blogging.
Be it a guest post or content on your site, focus on Quality. In the past few years, the search algorithm has been improved a lot. Now, if a competitor has tens of thousands of links and you merely have a few hundred, you can still outrank them if your quality is better. When your content is valuable, you begin to earn the trust of your readers and the search engines. The readers will come back for more and the search engines will continue to send you more blog traffic.
If your site growth is organic and has original content, than it’s just a matter of time before you start getting 1000+ visitors every day.
4. Triberr
Wouldn't you love if you get 100+ retweets as soon as you hit the publish button? Yes, there's a site that lets you get more retweets simply by joining or forming a tribe in your niche.

BTW, while JustRetweet is very user-friendly and easy to understand, Triberr is yet to simplify the process. I have had some success too on Viral Content Buzz.

I heard about Triberr many times before. Ended up by just signing up.
I think am losing major social traffic by not being active in it. Actually am little but confused about it`s interface. Can you help me in understanding it. And am sure it`s not tough but taking an advice before acting can be helspful.

It seems a lot of people are getting confused with Triberr interface. While it may be hard for first time users, but once you get used to it – it’s super easy.
All you have to do is just is to join a few tribes and add your blog feed in the content settings. That’s it. Than you just have to tweet the stuff through the triberr homepage.

I discovered Google + communities a really awesome thing. We have just started using it and have seen a slight boost in our rankings. We have been focused mainly on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube as it seems many people have been on those “channels” more.
As anyone will tell you keeping all the sites maintain is a daily task that sometimes gets overlooked .

I tried with Tribber some time ago and it must be because I did join a good tribe, I was quite unable to see much effect. Everybody is busy creating their own tribe and thus this illness was not different to me either. I guess, I need to be more serious about tribes and look for a good active tribe again.

My past experience showed me that engaging with the right people and communities can bring great results. If you are about to create a new social network account, you need to have a plan, know your audience and then start promoting your content or products to the right people. I never joined any Google+ community but now after read this post I think I should go and join some communities too.

I guess Google+ communities is similar to writing a Post on your own site, or guest Posting. a good idea to increase your traffic. I have Google+ but spend my time on Facebook instead. But this is obviously a better way, or sounds it to increase traffic
It is just great to have lots of informative and effective tips in your post. I have tried several methods to increase my blog traffic. But I must recommend to write unique and low competition niche keyword article to publish on blog. If you do so, You will definitely find your blog on the first page in google. More over Social media is the best way to have thousands of visitor at a time on your blog.

Lots of great tips here. I agree with them all, one of the things I want to do more of is interviewing famous bloggers and creating different kinds of content out of my content. You really need a blogging strategy to fit everything in, but it is so worth while.

However I heard that Big G is having some issues with Triberr….even though Triberr tried to play along with the rules that Google has set, it appears the former still doesn’t like what Triberr is doing. I wonder if the retweets that we get from Triberr will be sort of “blacklisted” by Google?

From what i know and see, link outreach is really hard to obtain unless you have some connections ( fellow bloggers, friends, journalists, etc) or some extraordinary subjects that can be passed over.
Regarding the retweeting website, i had no idea that you can get free retweets automatically.
I never knew about link outreach.I signed up for tribberr but I completely confused me ..But I maybe I will try one of those communities
Thank you for sharing some excellent tips. I have never heard of Triber or tried Google+ communities, will give both a try. I think the focus on quality content has to be the most important, without it getting traffic is meaningless.
I come here daily for great tips and this was another good day. I get a lot of google alerts but I’m not sure if my posts are going out to my followers so I will check that this evening. The other point you make about 800 word posts I have a question about. I read that the reader has a short attention span so I should make posts shorter . Do you think shorter posts get more readers?
I have heard the same thing about the reader’s attention span. My problem is that I tend to write long blogs and they require so much research and time. Now I think I am getting writers block, it isn’t always easy coming up with new material. I think I will pare back my blog posts to something more like 800 words – maybe readers will be more likely to read them.

Writing content just for the sake of having something to post will not only burn you out but also turn readers away! What’s the point?
One last thing here and the ‘trick’ to make it all work is maintaining a certain balance insofar as the attention and time spent in each of these areas!

So tell me, how can one be active on fb, twitter, pinterest. Triberr, G+ etc at the same time whiles there is only 24 hours in a day?

Hi Devesh, these are great ways of double blog traffic and one of the new that’s new to me the Google+ communities. I don’t really use Google+ and that’s great information to know.
Link Outreach is one of the hardest in all of the above ways – bloggers are really busy answering your email. Sometimes they forget to check email is a problem.
So I can see that networking with blogs, comment on blogs, tweet other articles… is one of the most effective ways.
I was thinking inviting more industry experts to come in and write on my blog would help, takes a lot of work to reach out on an individual basis but it could be worth it.

I’ve not considered using Google+ Communities, but I’ll certainly give them a shot now, I do get several invitations to communities, but my problem has always been the issue of time and the lack of it.

I love the idea of triberr and the similar sites you mention. I had no idea that they even existed so i’ll be getting my butsy over there to check them out asap.
I can’t get my head around google+ although I keep going back to have another try. It’s hard to understand why people are not properly connected. If you think of FB you are both connected and when one “unfriends” the relationship is over. Mind you twitter isn’t a two way thing either is it? ( that is unless you use who unfollowed me and unfollow them back just because you can 🙂 )
I always find that there are many who think they are so important that they follow you to get you to follow back and then unfollow you just so they have high numbers of followers boosting their ego.

I think the most important advice here is quality over quantity. There are so many interesting blogs I’ve read, and came back to every morning before I head out for the day. But then they became spammy, generic, advertisement-ridden, and that was the end of it. I also remember a couple mind-blowing blog posts I read, and when I looked for more I realized that the blogger had stopped blogging after only a couple of weeks. I reccomend you don’t do that either!! You never know when people will start reading your stuff

Triberr is awesome but before get good results you have to convince people that your content is good and you are good at blogging! Once you do this you will have good results. Google communities are kind of tricky but I believe it can bring good results.

I am so glad to read this blog article with the information on Google+ and using the communities. I just started using Google+ and actually found it a little more difficult to understand than when I set up facebook. I had not used the communities in Google+, but now that I know their importance I will look at the communities and use them.

Definitely Google plus communities and triberr are some awesome ways to boost traffic. There are also some secret social sharing communities with power social users. be trustful and join those communities for mutual sharing.

Thanks for the great advice. I am looking to start blogging (mainly as a hobby for the moment, then jumping into the “for profit” later) and have a friend who uses blogspot.com. When I went there, it changed the address and asked immediately if I wanted to start with Google+ or use a limited access (I think that was the term) blog name. Is this what you are talking about when you mention Google+ Communities? If I use this option, will it automatically link me into the Google+Communities? As you can probably tell, I am very new to blogging and any advice you can give would be a great help!

If you aren’t using Google+, than you’re missing a lot of traffic. Google+ is slowing becoming a part of the search engine plus it has been proved that the more +1’s you get, the more traffic you will get. I’d say you should use Google+ more often.

Google+ Communities feature is really amazing and surely this can help to boost your traffic. I have recently tried out Triberr and I have got some good results. It has helped me to increase my traffic.

Triberr is definitely a great resource to get traffic. I’m so glad that I got reintroduced to it a couple of months ago. It has changed a lot when I first got in a couple of years ago and it has changed for the better. I use to use tribepro a lot, but triberr has more serious bloggers and definitely you will get your content syndicated once you get going. Thanks for sharing!
