This is what most of the bloggers are feeling today. There are millions of bloggers in every niche all around the world but a very few of them are known to world.

I recently learned a few excellent Blogging Secrets from a Webinar and now I'm sharing them with you via the great platform of Ms. Ileane's Basic Blog Tips.

You know what, Basic Blog Tips was my first choice to submit this post because I wanted this post to reach the maximum number of bloggers around and all of you will agree with me if I say Ms. Ileane provides great readership.

Yes it is Vice-Versa.

I was lucky that I got to listen the webinar of famous blogger Jon Morrow from Boost Blog Traffic based on Blogging Secrets on bringing huge traffic to the blog.

Jon Morrow explained different Blogging Secrets, tips and tricks for the newbie bloggers. Although whole 2 hrs long webinar is not possible to be covered here in a single post but I will try to summarize them briefly here.

Blogging Secrets: Three C's (Connections, Content and Convert)

This was the basic concept of Jon Morrow’s webinar. These are the major C's that are the focal point of his Blogging Secrets

1. Connections- Making good connections with leading bloggers worldwide. Make them know your name and your writing and blogging capabilities.
2. Content- Post awesome content in your blog. Great won’t work now, the competition is tough out here and you must make  awesome content in order to stand out.
3. Convert – When you start getting enough traffic try converting your visitors into your subscribers. Give those visitors a solid reason to subscribe you.

Connections are predominant requisite if you want to get huge traffic to your blog and is one of most important blogging secrets.

Let me make it more clear.

Tell me one thing, when you have some free time, would you like to go to a friend’s home and chill-out or would you rather try talking with strangers?

Certainly you will go to the friend’s house and spend your time there. This is what I want to explain.

People will come to your blog if they know you. (One of the major Blogging Secrets)

I agree that content quality matters a lot but as far as I know there are millions of websites in every niche over internet and many of them have great and irresistible content then why would visitors land to your blog.

Think about it!!!

Make yourself known to the world and then they will come to read your post, for sure.

What usually happens is that most bloggers change the order of these important C's.

Confused!!!

I mean, bloggers usually change the ideal order to the wrong one – Content, Connection and then comes Convert. This is where they lack and get traffic less than they actually deserve.

Even I was following the same pattern before I attended the webinar. I was paying much of my attention on posting the content in my blog rather than making myself known.

Though I am doing the blog commenting and guest posting to build a good rapport among the world’s professional bloggers but still I'm not getting enough traffic.

So what could be the reason?

The reason is simple enough to understand, I need to step up the pace. One superbly relevant example is popping in my mind right now, let me share it.

My doctor once told me that ‘Even the best accurate medicine won’t have an effect if given in the wrong dosage’.

This is what I can implement here. My promotion tactics are not giving me best results because I am not using the proper dosages.

I was updating content more and making connections less.

Now that I know what I have to do, I will focus more on making connections than posting content in my blog. I will follow the Blogging Secrets of Jon Morrow and work in the correct order of importance of the 3 C's- Connection, Content and Convert.

How to Build Connection

What do you think can be the best way to build the connections among bloggers worldwide?

Let me tell you – Blog commenting and guest posting are two of the most often used ways to build connections. But as I said above ‘Medicine works only when given in proper dosages’, guest posting and blog commenting help only when done in good number.

Now, the glitch here is that if you do more blog commenting, Akismet will designate you as a spam commenter.

So what's left for you is guest posting and trust me it is one of the most valuable blogging secrets.

You can publish as many guest posts as you can.

In fact the more guest posts you publish, the more connections and more blog traffic you will gain.

How To Write Awesome Content 

This is no-ways possible to explain in few words rather I can write a whole book on it. So I will mention just the basic points here.

• Write when you want to write –Never force yourself to write, it will bring out just words not content.
• Write what you want to read– Think of yourself as a reader and then start writing. Write in a style which you would love to read. As in my case, I hate reading long paragraphs embellished with tough words and so I never write long paragraphs with tough words. I like to read simple and so I write simple.
• Be Original– This is what everyone suggests and this is actually the most important point as well. I know that you need to take matter from internet; I do also, but write it in your own words and your own style. Such as the blogging secrets mentioned in this piece. These are my own ideals of Jon Morrow's webinar but I have written it in my own style and my words.
• Research well– Make sure that your content is actually useful to the readers. Never ever make a mistake to misguide the readers by writing bogus or incomplete information.

How To Convert Visitors To Subscribers

This is again a vast topic to cover and I will give you the basic tips-

• Write useful content in your blog posts.
• Write posts in series, such as XYZ Series I, XYZ Series II etc.
• Offer freebies to the subscribers
• Make subscription simple.

So here I am done with my review of Jon Morrow's Blogging Secrets. All the ideas which were revolving around in my mind after attending the webinar rolled out here and now I feel relaxed. I was dying to share these tips and tricks with my friends all around the world and also with those who don’t know me. What do you think about Jon's blogging secrets?
