Blog Engage Helps Put You in the Spotlight

A few weeks ago I talked about the 3 C's of my blogging success, and in that post I listed Blog Engage as the top community for bloggers to join, and I also discussed the importance of making connections and collaborations. As a member of Blog Engage, doors were opened for me and I was able to hone my blogging skills and build a level of confidence that every new blogger strives to attain.

What is Blog Engage?

The whole concept behind Blog Engage is nothing short of shear genius. Being on the site is like being on common-ground. It's a place where you can feel welcome and comfortable enough to share even your newbie blog posts with others. All in all, Blog Engage exposes you to a ready-made audience of your peers and mentors, who are just waiting to consume your content; and possibly even give it their stamp of approval.

Once you settle in, you'll quickly discover that you too are empowered to approve, comment, read, learn, share, vote, chat, collaborate, teach, connect, blog….and more!

Earlier this week, I got an email from a new Facebook friend. I'm not going to share his name without getting an ok from him, but here's what he said in the email

[shadowbox]I recently saw a comment you left on ducttapemarketing where you said that Blog Engage has been good for article promotion. I would love to hear about your experience with Blog Engage.[/shadowbox]

Here's an excerpt from my response:

[shadowbox]My experience with Blog Engage has been nothing but positive. I've been using Blog Engage since I started blogging over 2 years ago and here's a summary of how it's benefited me:

  • Getting blog traffic
  • Making strong connections with other bloggers
  • Finding great content to read
  • Generating backlinks from a PR5 site
  • Winning contest prize money!!

Brian is always coming up with new ways for us to engage with each other and interact. I think he sits up at night trying to find ways to make the site better. I just joked with him this morning that every day this week he added a new feature to the site… Blog Engage also has the RSS service which makes it easy to submit all of your blog articles without any extra effort on your part. I have the affiliate banners on my blog if you want to find out more, but I'm not trying to send you to my blog just to click links. I'm very sincere when I say, Blog Engage put me on the map and I don't say that because I'm on staff. It's the other way around – I'm on staff because I believe in the site.

    1. Hi, I appreciate the great feedback and engagement you have here on the blog. Your site looks great and if you want to introduce your services here, let me know and we can get you set up as a guest blogger. Btw – what is your name?
      Talk to you soon 🙂

      1. I am Ricardus. Used to comment here too. Just that I prefer to remain anonymous. I hope we can work something out too. Feel free to be our guest blogger too. Thanks a lot

  1. I had been in BE in the early days and where never forget the day when Brian warning me about submitting sexual content… lol… I bet he still remember and it was so long that now we are good friends online, BE is an awesome place for any blogger from any niche seriously it’s a great social network platform…

    1. Yup, Blog Engage is clean and wholesome and Brian polices the community quite carefully. Your less “risque” content found the perfect home 🙂

  2. What impresses me more about BE, aside from all the proven benefits of being a member of the community is the way Brian interacts with his “members”. I keep banging my head against the wall trying to figure out how the H does he do it 🙂 I also have the RSS service enabled an it is probably the best $ investment I have ever made. My content is flawlessly syndicated as soon as it is published and mine you, there is a very “little” known feature that people may not be aware of, that being your can also syndicate any previously published content just by using the BE RSS. I love it 🙂

    1. DiTesco, RSS Syndication at Blog Engage is a bloggers dream! Brian has such a pleasant personality and he will be the first one to offer encouragement and keep us inspired.

Thanks for stopping by and great to see you enjoying Blog Engage as much as I do. I’m pretty sure that BE is where we first became fans of each other’s blogs. I owe a lot to Brian for building a community where I could be introduced to someone as awesome as you!

  4. I already read many posts on blog engage however this post will gives a new thing to newbies which don,t know this way before. a perfect information on blog engage to help others. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  5. I have n’t joined yet as I can consider myself a fresher and I think BE is worth joining for sure as it is a way to promote a site or a blog, especially for me with little experience.

  6. I think this is such a healthy community for bloggers. Indeed, connection is important. It’s time to “Engage”, and I hope to be a part of this anytime soon.

  7. Aside from learning something new and valuable, Blog Engage is an excellent way to create and maintain a good relationship, so it is NEVER a bad idea to ENGAGE with Blog Engage as it is a rewarding experience.

  8. BE is a great way to improve presence online and boost targeted traffic …. I ♥ being a member of the community !!

  9. Thanks for sharing this with us. Bog engage sounds like a wonderful opportunity to create some brand awareness.

  10. Blog Engage has been a great experience for me. I joined this community on 1st July 2011. Within these 2 months, I met with many bloggers, read lots of articles and learned a lot from others. I got good traffic from Blog Engage for my 2 month old blog.

Nice article Ileane. You are also doing a great job for this community along with Ivin and Brian.

    1. Sandipan, it’s only been 2 months since you joined Blog Engage!! I thought it was more than that. You and I are like old friends already. 🙂

  11. I joined BE over 1 year ago and there is nothing to complain about the community. I wouldn’t get connected to other bloggers and their great content without BE.
I’ve tried the RSS syndication service recently and I am more than satisfied. It seems like backlinks from BE give more weight to my posts and they are easily ranked on the first page of Google search results.
With you and Alvin in the staff, I believe the community will be much stronger this year.

    1. Tuan, someone asked me the other day about using Google Reader and my response was – I don’t use it. When I want to read my favorite blogs I just go to Blog Engage! And you know I’m not just saying that. I’m so glad we met over there. You’re a great person to know in the blogosphere. Thanks for everything Tuan!

  12. Was a member at BE for a long time and really enjoyed the time spent here. Always something great to read especially if you are into blogging, SEO and that sort of stuff.

  13. From what i read i presume is a great opportunity to promote your website also by helping others to promote themselves. I believe this network is using the system called ” scratch my back and i’ll scratch yours”. Right?

    1. Radu, you can look at it that way. You also learn a lot from the members of the community and share ideas.

  14. Hi! I read several articles regarding blogengage and I’m thinking of joining. I would to ask if apart from generating traffic, does it improve adsense income generation as well?

Hoping for your quick and kind reply on this question.

    1. ikert24kfan, that’s a great question. Blog Engage is the only blogging community that offers revenue sharing for AdSense. Justin from DragonBlogger has posted his earnings on his blog and when I find the link, I’ll come back here and share it with you.

    2. Create a separate channel and use your AdSense ID when you sign up, I make about $1 – $3 per month on average from AdSense clicks on the BE articles, it isn’t much but almost pays for the lower tiers of the RSS Syndication.

  15. Brian just moved Blog Engage to a faster server too. I also wanted to mention that Blog Engage is a pretty close community and a great place to find good blogging friends.

    1. Brian, I thought I covered all the bases in the post and the previous comments, but you are so right – I neglected to mention those points.

New server, great friends – if I were still a drinker, I’d pour myself a bear right now and drink to that!

      Thanks Brian! 🙂

  16. Christian,

  17. Hi again!

Is it true that you have to pay a fee to join blogengage? If so, I need to earn some incomes cause I really get drain due to paying the bills in the house.

  18. Thats true about BE as I have also heard lot about it from many mouths and all have given positive review only. I am also excited for it and surely going to join this amazing community.

    Anyway thanks for sharing this.

    1. Hi MegB, are you thinking about joining Blog Engage? They have an excellent program to promote your business by featuring it in blog posts and on the homepage slider.

  19. Hey Ileane. Thanks a lot for your comments on Blog Engage. I just learned about it in an article that recommended it, so went trolling Google for *actual reviews* of what it’s all about and if it works. All I came up with, consistently, were “hey, check out this free contest!!!!” links — until your post here. Finally! At least a little info on how it’s actually helped you (and others here). Thanks.

  20. Thanks for sharing the 3 C’s of my blogging. Blog Engage, the importance of making connections and collaborations. As a new member of Blog Engage, I’m finding new skills and confidence thanks.
