A few weeks ago, Brian from Blog Engage, did a guest post here announcing the requirements for the Blog Engage Guest posting contest. After reading his post called Do YOU have what it takes to be the next best guest blogger? I thought to myself, I'm going to enter that contest and give it a shot! The last time I entered a contest I won second prize and a nice cash award! This time the prizes range from $200 to $50 and I feel like I can win. I added a video to the post and hopefully that will make my article stand out. The video is a follow-up to a guest post from Sharon Hurley Hall called Twylah – Fan Pages for your Twitter Stream

I enjoy guest posting and as you know, I have had many guest posts here on Basic Blog Tips, so today I submitted my entry and it's titled How to be a Social Media Research Ninja For Your Blog. I hope you enjoy the post and take a look at some of the other entries for this month's contest as well.

The contest sounds like a great idea. I may write something for it.
I can write for the planet, but I really like to use great articles that I find through article submission sites for my blog posts. I have to agree with what is said, but apart from that, the title really needs to grab the reader and the article must be written well. Sorry if that’s cheating, but it keeps me coming up with interesting posts for the blog.

I am pretty new to blogging (less than a year) so the tips in your article are a great help.
