Blogging folks, tell me, if you have common sense that is, is there ever any smoke without fire, ants without sugar and flies without dirt?
No, right!
Then how do you expect to be noticed unless you have something, which will indeed get you noticed? Unless you have that extra something, a certain amount of blogging appeal and yes, lots of material to back you up, being noticed in the world of blogging is tough mate.
However, it is not very “un-doable”. After all, since so many bloggers and their blog posts are noticed, how is it that yours will not?
For that however, you do have to follow some norms and a particular design so that flies, ahem, readers get attracted to your posts and therefore you blog.
Controversy and gossip in blogging
Since this is not exactly a very formal piece of work, be ready to tweak some rules and get in accord with people interested in what you have to say.
For starters, learn how to blend the normal with the controversial. Trust me; nothing works like a bit of gossip does. Nevertheless, keep the nature of your content simple and sober. However, a bit of dry humor and tongue in the cheek posts are also invited occasionally.
Also, do not forget that you are not the only one who is writing about your subject of choice. There are indeed millions of bloggers who will inevitably write about the same topic. It is therefore up to you to present the matter in a manner, which will poke people to read it, even if means adding some drops of petrol to the fire!
Bonding with your Readers
Your readers should be very precious to you since they are the ones who will read, share, and comment and encourage others to read your blog posts. So invite them in with open arms and be very particular to respond to their respective queries or suggestions.
If your blog helps you to earn money, make sure you tell people at least a part about it. In addition, yes, do not forget to do some charity work with the money that you earn. For one, nothing works like a humanitarian approach. So go ahead, involve people in this, and watch how your blog posts steadily are read.
Do not be expressionless while responding to them. If your readers think that you have made a mistake, modestly own up. There is simply no harm in throwing them some bones. Add some meat to it by inviting your readers to write for your blog as well.
Make sure that you have a column, a day, or a time of post, which will feature guests’ take on several things. This will also help you to get a fresh take on several topics and who knows, you might also be able to come up with something unique.
Get connected with your fellow bloggers. This will help you to expand the reach and read of your posts at least tenfold. Ask them to contribute in your blog posts as this might encourage them to do the same. This step will give them a chance for exposure and will give you an enhanced chance of exposure to newer avenues as well.
In addition, yes, be regular my dear problogger. Try to understand how your readers take out time in order to read what you have written. Try your best not to disappoint them. So set a date, a day or the week perhaps when whatever happens, they will get to read your post.
Write your posts in a simple, racy language. You have to understand that you are writing for a global audience and that includes people from different cultures. Try not to be too strong or too biased about what you have to say. Keep it short and simple. There is no use in dragging them endlessly just for the sake of it.
Tricks for blogging and web exposure
Not that endless harping is needed, but reminding you some tips will be all right I guess. Pack in enough links related to your posts so that your readers can gain fresh knowledge about it.
Also, make sure that your blog shows up in the web search results. You should be aware that people do not like to grope around much. They grab what comes first, so make your blog SEO rich and enjoy your blogging.
