Empire Avenue is awesome, and if you haven't heard about it yet, don't worry. I was an extremely late bloomer to the site myself. If you are new to the concept, Empire Avenue is a social media stock market if you will. When you sign up, your online name has an IPO. Other bloggers buy your shares and in return this increases the value of your brand name and Empire Avenue currency (e).
Investing in other bloggers is important, you want to look for active users that have a lot of activity on their social networks. This pays dividends which will keep money coming into your portfolio so you can continue investing. Finding ways to make more (e) on Empire Avenue isn't always easy.
When driving traffic to our blogs it's going to cost a lot of (e) so in the beginning, continue investing in other members by purchasing shares and eventually your earnings will be so great you will be able to afford weekly missions. You will also receive (e) when others buy shares from you. Building a large and profitable portfolio is extremely important from the start.
Driving Blog Traffic With Empire Avenue
Tip #1 From what I've seen it's custom behavior to leave a comment after buying shares with twitter a handle and or blog link. It's normally accompanied with a nice message to the user expressing your interest in them and opening the doors to further communication. I normally say something along the following lines,
“In for 200 shares my friend, if you blog or want to get me back I'm @bbrian017 and @blogengage”
What I'm doing is making sure this user knows I want to create a relationship with them. I have invited the user to engage with me, purchase my shares and possibly even follow me on Twitter. Let's remember I don't just purchase any shares, I ensure the user has some sort of social media brand power and activity.
Tip #2 The second tip is creating missions for Empire Avenue users to visit your blog, follow you on twitter or engage with you in some sort of way in social media. This will drive high quality traffic back to your blog. Make sure to offer a nice award for completing the mission but trust me the users are top quality traffic and could be extremely interested in your blog and what you have to offer..
Be careful when you're creating your missions, I would suggest to keep them small around 30 – 40 and if you want to target your audience only offer it to your shareholders. I on the other hand allow anyone to do my missions as all Empire Avenue users are prospects for my RSS and Social Media Services.
Smart Investing on Empire Avenue
The last tip I have for you today is to invest with your brain and not your heart. Make sure the people you invest in are active, have many social connections and have a high paying dividend. You hold on to these shares and daily they pay you extremely well per each share you own.
I know the price is high for this stock but if your portfolio can purchase shares that will perform this well you will be creating weekly missions in no time. Just look for users that have their profiles connected and visit the profiles to see how many people they know, how many posts they're doing, and how often. Remember social activity is key to high dividend payouts.
