Akismet Deletes Comments Bloggers Never See!

Those are the headlines that appeared on GrowMap the popular blog of link building specialist Gail Gardner, when she first recognized a problem with Akismet and the comments on her blog.  As she and several others bloggers acknowledge in the post, some legitimate comments were being deleted by Akismet before blog owners get a chance to see them. This prompted Andy Bailey, a well-known WordPress plugin developer and creator of everyone's favorite link building plugin for commenters – CommentLuv, based on ideas and suggestions from Phil Hollows from FeedBlitz and Dazzling Donna Fontenot, to introduce an alternative for Akismet users. The new plugin is called G.A.S.P. for short which stands for GrowMap Anti-Spambot Plugin and it is available for download from the WordPress.org Plugin Repository.
