Best Small Business Book Awards Presented By SmallBizTrends

I'm sure many of you have read a really good book in the past year that helped you get your small business off the ground. I've got good news, if the book was written between November 2010 and December 2011 you can head over to the Small Business Book Awards website and show your support for the author by nominating the book for the 4th Annual Best Small Business Book Awards today!

[box type=”note”]The winners have been announced! See if your favorite book won![/box]

Congratulations to Jane Sheeba for her award winning book Pro Blogging Action Plan!

For example, here is an excerpt from the website describing the types of books that are eligible to be nominated.

“Books must be business books relevant to small businesses and/or entrepreneurs…..We're also accepting business books published solely in electronic form, such as PDF books, Kindle books, Google ebooks, and similar electronic formats. But they must be eBooks that have price tags. FREE eBooks (such as might be used as an incentive to encourage people to sign up for an email newsletter) are not eligible. Why? Because typically “free incentive” ebooks don't have the in-depth content of other business books. “

Anita Campbell, the CEO of BizSugar and Small Business Trends, is spearheading this effort and I'm proud to be one of the media partners for these distinguished awards along with the other supporters of small business whose logos appear below.

    1. Hi Herbert, as long as the book was from last year and if it has a page on Amazon, you can nominate the book yourself. The voting will begin next month! Thanks.

    1. Thank you for supporting the Biz Book Awards Abhi. Maybe you will have a book published this year and you can go for the award next time.

  2. I’m always motivated to continually move forward in my “online business endeavors” by being in the positive circle of good people such as Ms. Ileane and many others, who keep me inspired to press on faithfully with my [web business endeavors]. someday, when I accomplish more in my business efforts, I may potentially look into writing a book, and seeing how far it goes, in terms of book sales and people talking about it on the World Wide Web 🙂

  3. I have an eBook but I don’t know whether it will fit here (but, I really don’t want to compete with others right now – I am sure that they have better content for their book – Not that confident :D).

Hope that guys who truly deserve it will win the award 😀

    1. Jeevan, perhaps you will get a chance to read some of the books that are nominated and be sure to participate in the Twitter Chat on 1/31/12 so you can learn from the experts ways to improve your book.

  4. Ms. Ileane,

if you need traffic to your e-book, I will be more than happy to create a featured post for you on DrewryNewsNetwork, and send targeted traffic your way. Please let me know how I may be of service to you, as I am always happy to help others 🙂

    1. Hi Drewry, that is very kind of you. Personally I haven’t published an ebook, but thanks for the offer. 🙂

  5. I am just wondering if does E-book included here? but anyway I really admire of those people who write books and sell them in other people. I am sure the content is useful, and congratulation for those won.

  6. This seems like an awesome award. It is too bad that I have got to know about it when it is over. Such kinds of awards will really help to motivate writers and especially those who have books that have a business like approach to them.

  7. I hope that I will participate next year, currently preparing 2 books related to SEO which I suppose will be ready in the middle of March. Actually I hear about this awards for first time and I think that it will be a good idea to check the website.

    1. Hi Kaloyan, congrats on getting your books underway. Yes, please visit the site so you can get some ideas and find great books to read.

  8. I’ll hire someone to write and publish book within time and really lucky, I love Tech and I’ll try my best to support what you’re supporting.

  9. Hi Ileane,
I haven’t publish an e-book so far, but I’ll vote and support the Biz Book Awards Abhi. After all, if I manage to publish it in 2012 I could go for the award next time 😉
Thank you for this helpful post
    Keep up the good work!

  10. I did like a couple of books I read recently, will ask the authors if they want to be nominated for this… I mean who wouldn’t; but a notification is always nice! 🙂

  11. I love the see Ms. Ileane publish a book seller on Amazon. I think she will do awesome in making good $ gUaP $ from book sales 🙂

  12. I made two typos and, above. Where it says “the”, I meant to say “to”. And, when you see the word [seller], I meant to say “and sell it”. Sorry about that 🙂

    1. Hey Jane,

You are totally welcome! I have reviewed your book twice and I totally mean every word I say! I did vote for it just now… will go there and vote bomb it every day! Yayyy for you Jane! I am so happy for you! 🙂

  13. Looks like a great reward, I’m positive that anyone gets it, truely deserves it.

    Regards,
    Tammy Howard
