In 2006 Dan Norris started a web design company because he was bored with the corporate world (after 4 whole years!). He worked on that business for 6 years with a lot of ups and downs and in 2012 decided to sell it and move on to Inform.ly. While in his last business he built up his blog to a point where it was ranking number 1 in Australia for ‘website design’ and a lot of other big keywords and at that point he got a bit addicted to producing content.

I hope you’ve had the chance to read some of the blog interviews I’ve conducted here on Basic Blog Tips. Interviews are like a hybrid blog post – on one hand it’s like a guest post, but on the other hand, not really because the interviewer picks the topic. The reason we all enjoy blog interviews so much is because they are a great example of those successful collaborations I’m so in favor of, and the “engagement” that we all seek to have on our blogs is pretty much built in by nature.
