Yoga for Bloggers

Bloggers – Time for a Yoga Break

Time for a Yoga Break

As bloggers most of our time is spent sitting in a chair, hunched over a keyboard. And this will often give us a big pain in the neck! Ease the tension in your neck and shoulders using simple self massage and yoga techniques presented in this video.Yoga for Bloggers

No equipment is needed and you can do this while sitting in your chair. Go to a quiet room, or use headphones if you can, and pay close attention to your breath.

The story behind this yoga video

Ntathu Allen is a yoga teacher, writer and blogger at YogaInspires. I first came in contact with Ntathu when she entered Kiesha Easley's Surviving the Blog Contest, and meeting her reminded me of how much I miss practicing yoga.

As I read one of Ntathu's contest posts called Yoga for Bloggers – Simple Self Massage to Ease a Sore Neck and Stiff Shoulders I was moved to recite the piece for my podcast. Ntathu was so pleased with the podcast, that I decided to take things to the next level and create a YouTube video using some still shots and the video creation tool called Animoto. I hope you enjoy the video come back and watch it again whenever you want to relax. If you get a chance, please do me a favor and give it a thumbs up or leave a comment over on YouTube.

With all the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping on top of a hectic blogging schedule, it makes sense to take a few moments to relax and pamper yourself a little. Practicing yoga is a great way to soothe your spirit, but I'm sure you can think of others. What do you do when your neck starts to feel tight and sore or if  you just need to take a break – have you tried practicing yoga before?

  1. Yoga is always a positive exercise to do, as it helps to relieve nervous tension within, and calms the overall nervous system =)

      1. ntathu allen…happy new years to you, and wishing you success and prosperity in this wonderful new year 🙂

    1. Jim,

if you do cardio for 20 min. to half our first thing in the morning on an empty stomach or your treadmill at home, you will potentially experience a positive boost in your immune system, as well as increased ambition to accomplish more throughout the day, while potentially overcoming the flu sooner than you thought 🙂

  2. Since you been practicing yoga for several years I noticed a considerable improvement of my health and feel better. Yoga is a great exercises to improve our fitness and wellbeing. I recommend to everyone.

  3. I’m a big fan of yoga! Every time I have time, I try to practice it.Sometimes I visit fitness club or I can watch video on the Internet and try to implement it in life

    1. Amanda, I plan to work with Ntathu to develop some more yoga videos. I hope you can watch them on YouTube. Subscribe to my YouTube channel for the updates. Thanks.

  4. Hey Ileane. Soothing indeed 🙂 After all you do have some “other” hidden stuff that goes beyond blogging and social media, lol. Your voice in addition to the soft background music was really cool… OK, I did not do so well on the “chewing gum” technique.. need to work on that 🙂

    1. DiTesco, I’m going to work on the gum chewing technique myself. I thought that was funny too. I always try to slip a little humor in all of my videos to see if anyone picks up on it. HA! Thanks for checking out the video and your comments are the best.

    2. Lady of many guises. Thats why I love yoga..it touches the parts other programmes dont reach and bring out all parts of self. Happy chewing. When I teach yoga to children/teens they love making all kinds of noises as they practice. Makes it more fun for them..we have Sammy the Snake who hisses in Cobra and in Downward Dog we always end up barking like a dog and wagging our tails. Great fun

  5. Never tried Yoga and I thought it was only for women 😀 but I do jogging every now and then. Sometimes strolling with my daughter.

    1. Herbert, it’s amazing to study the origin of yoga and it is absolutely not for women. In fact it goes back a long way in Indian culture and it has a strong male following. I would say more but I’m not the expert and I don’t want to get my facts wrong. As I learn more I will speak about it in future videos. That might be the best way to get the point across.

btw – your daughter is gorgeous!

      Thanks for commenting. 🙂

      1. oh.. 😀 Thanks for the quick info Ileane and Holly.. Since I keep on watching tv during my spare time, perhaps I will be doing Yoga here.

Is she? Thanks for that Ileane 😀

    2. Traditionally yoga was practised by men and used by spiritual seekers and monks as a way to help them prepare for meditation. If you look at yoga history, the majority of the great masters/teachers are male. Its only in the west that yoga has become more commercialised and also seen more as “womens’ activity” But as Holly says, yoga can and is practised by everyone. There are many styles and schools of yoga so I am sure you will find a type of yoga suited to your temperament. Strolling with your daughter is a an extremely yogic form of exercise…nice to hear.

    1. Junaid, I hope you can come back and watch the video each time you feel some blogging stress. Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Healthy mind and a healthy body equates to a healthy blogger and a healthy blogger leads to a healthier blog and so the cycle continues!! hugs and glad you enjoyed the video.

  6. Great advice for any blogger :-). Yoga is a great way to balance yourself when working in the virtual and written world all day.

    1. Hi Jon, I think that balance is one of the core principals of what you can achieve from practicing Yoga.

      1. I totally agree. I first got into yoga because I had explored my spirituality in the mental, emotional, and intellectual realms, but not yet in the physical. I started yoga to bring the physical into my practice to bring myself more in balance, and what a perfect way, because yoga was all about balance in all things: physical or otherwise.

    2. Hi Jon, yes yoga is great and provides you with so many practical and spiritual tools for balancing your energies and keeping you focused and well, espcially in the mad chaotic virtual world we spend so much time in. Keep up your practice.

  7. What a great collaboration, Ileane and Ntathu! Well done! Ileane, your voice is like chocolate and I love the sound effects you make – the gum chewing and the sounds you’re supposed to make while doing this.

    1. Holly, I’m really glad you enjoyed it. I don’t know what took me so long to do a yoga video so. It’s been on the back of my mind FOREVER!! It really took Ntathu’s inspiration to bring it to life. Thanks for your enthusiasm Holly. You’re so sweet.

  8. Great post Ileane ! Yoga has always been an effective practice for keeping a person healthy , and especially , if you are a blogger or computer addict , then Yoga is a must do practice as it helps to get recovered from all those problems which are occured because of sitting in front of a computer for a long time !

    1. You’re so right. My back is starting to get an ache in it right now because I’ve been sitting here for 3 hours non-stop. I think the next video I do will focus on the back poses.

      Thanks!

    2. PrIyAnGsHu, so agree. That’s another hidden benefit of yoga. It increases your sense of body awareness and as such, with regular practice, you instinctively remember to breathe and readjust your posture, especially from all the hours we spend glued in front of the computer-probably one of the worst jobs in terms of stress it places on our body and helps us to relax, ease and soften all aches and pains.

  9. Loved the video Ileane!

I used to practice yoga, but that was some time back and left it due to the busy routine. However, just as other things need to be done, you do need to find time for exercise and yoga. My dad practices it and is forever fit at his age of 75! And it is surely because of yoga.

It sure is a wonderful video, something that would surely help all bloggers- especially me, being a freelance writer, where I have to sit and only write 🙂

Thanks so much for sharing 🙂

    1. Harleena, please, please share some pics of your Dad doing his yoga routine. Do you think he will allow it? Maybe if you do it quietly using a camera without a flash so as not to disturb his concentration he won’t mind. Just tell him that he already has a fan club (that would be me). 🙂

Thanks for your feedback my friend.

      1. I wish he were staying with me Ileane, I would surely have taken his video on the quiet, as otherwise he would never have allowed me 🙂 Would love to see you practice is as well someday on your own video , that is if you do so 🙂

        1. Good idea Harleena. I have plans to take pictures of my daughter doing some poses the next time she comes to town. She’s an excellent model and she also enjoys doing yoga. Thanks for the encouragement.

    2. Hugs Harleena, am glad you found the video useful. It is so easy to get out of the habits of practising yoga or even doing any forms of exercises-especially when daily life steps in. Prayers out we will create more Yoga for Bloggers videos for you to enjoy. Take special care.

  10. Yoga was a part of my school curriculum (for a couple of years). The simple exercises were themselves quite difficult to perform and I did not even get into the complex asanas! But the techniques in the video look simple enough – thanks for the same, might give them a try.

    1. Raj, that’s interesting. Come to think of it, my first exposure to Yoga was during my high school years too. We had this lovely health teacher named Susan Bear, we always laughed because her husband’s name is Teddy Bear. LOL.

Anyway she introduced us to Yoga way back in the 70’s and I think that was the first time Yoga really started to become popular in the U.S. and the time was just right for Americans to embrace foreign cultures.

I’ll need to brush up on the terminology but for those who are reading this and don’t know – An asana is a pose – and some of them are very complicated and take years to master. Eventually you can twist your body in ways that can make you look like a pretzel 🙂

Thanks for the memories Raj and for your comment as always!

      1. lol..introducing children to yoga is such a gift and great fun. There is an excellent yoga book for children I like to share..its My Daddy Is a Pretzel -Yoga for Parents and Kids by Baron Baptise and Sophie Fatus..its a great book and very visually engaging and good also for dads to share with their children. There is also an accompanying Yoga Pretzel Cards..which are great for playing yoga games with your children/teens. Highly recommended to introduce your children/children you work with to yoga.

    1. Atish, I really need to start practicing Yoga at least 4 times a week. I should promise myself. In fact, I’m going to listen to the YouTube video again and follow along with myself right now 🙂

  11. I used to do Yoga until I learned the science of QiGong which has simple exercises giving drastic effects that are immediately felt. Most don’t know it, but certain yogic exercises can be dangerous especially when you get into manipulating your kundalini and although QiGong directs the flow of kundalini (chi,qi,etc.) as well you have more control over it and the health benefits are more pronounced.

    1. Caleb, I don’t plan on getting that far into it to cause any harm. I prefer the gentle approach. Notice this yoga practice is done sitting in a chair, so we don’t get all twisted up in knots. Thanks for the advice about QiGong. My daughter’s father is heavily into that type of study and he travels to Asia many times a year to practice with the masters.

    2. Thanks for sharing that. QiGong is a beautifl therapeutic practice and I am glad you practice it. Re your comments re Kundalini energy can I share my understanding of this? Yes, there are many styles and approaches to yoga. In my experience it takes many years of devoted practice under guidance of a teacher to raise your Kundalini energy, in fact there is a whole debate within yoga community re purpose and value of awakening and raising “your Kundalini energy”- Yoga is about balance and creating harmony and ease within your mind/body and spirit- “true yogis” do not practice yoga to the extreme where it can cause harm to self or to others..the concept of non-violence runs through all yogic teachings. Miss Ileane and I advocate a more gentle approach to yoga, as a tool to optimise your health and weave simple routines into your everyday busy schedule to help you feel more vitalised and energised.

  12. Hi Ileane,

I love yoga and do some stretching with yoga techniques before my meditation practice. Very nice video. You are amazing on how you are stretching your blogging experience. I still have to do this. I plan on making it a goal to get a podcast and a video out for next year. Good article! Sally

    1. Sally, this practice yoga is truly a return to my roots. I practiced for several years and became quite good at it. I don’t want to bore you with how my bad knees stopped me from doing a lot of poses because even as I type it I know that it’s just an excuse (a good one though). 🙂
Sally please reach out to me with any questions you have about getting started with video or audio podcasting. You know how to get in touch and remember I’m always there for you 🙂

  13. Yoga is an amazing break.
The key is you don’t have to do it for 90 minutes. I often take 10 minute yoga breaks and do some standing or sitting poses (depending on energy level). Do this throughout the day and it helps tremendously. Also, if you do it 3 to 4 times per day, you’ll have strung a 30 to 40 minues of yoga over the course of the day and it doesn’t seem daunting at all.

    1. Steven, you make some excellent points. Since I recorded this yoga video, I’ve done it at least twice each day. My next break yoga will begin in 15 minutes. 🙂

  14. A healthy post! Yoga helps us both physically and mentally. I’m lazy to practice it. Thanks for the timely reminder , I will try it now.

    1. Nirmal, you’re just in time! We can practice together because it’s time for my yoga break in 5….4….3…2…1
      Namaste!

  15. Hi Ileane,

Very soothing indeed. Thanks for sharing this great video 🙂

We need to take a break and do other fun stuff you know.

    Best,
    Mavis

  16. No doubt Ileane! Had to take a break and try this relaxing yoga. Worked like a charm – must practice more often.

Very nice share – thank you 🙂

    1. yeahhhh. The hardest part of practising yoga is stopping the business of the day to practice. So glad you managed to pause and take a break. OM

  17. Hm, this is funny… I started to Yoga yesterday just because I had too much pain in my neck.. because of too much blogging 🙂 Thanks anyway!

  18. Brilliant post, I’ve tried yoga a few times, and it’s really good for relaxation. I read your interview on techtricksworld the other day Ileane, it was really good!

    1. I really enjoyed doing the interview with Atish. Thanks for coming over here after seeing the interview. Chat soon!

  19. I’ve recently become a Yoga addict. To be honest, I used to think it was a load of rubbish. I didn’t understand how you could get fit and feel relaxed just from stretching, but it really works. I go once a week now and it’s brilliant for getting rid of all the aches and pains you get from sitting at a desk for 9 hours a day.

  20. yoga is a fresh breath after long time hactic routine in life and it is necessary to revitalize the centers to excel in life

  21. Glad you like the idea of yoga for bloggers. Yoga transcends all religions, occupations, class and faiths so its ideal for us bloggers! As you can see yoga provides you with simple practical tools to improve your focus and keep your energy flowing-vital when we spend so much of our day slouched over a computer.

  22. Hi Ileane..its so great what you have started and created…lets keep the vibes flowing and thank you for helping me step out and share my truth. In peace.

  23. Yoga? I’ve definitely experienced neck tension and upper shoulder tension since working on websites and blogs. I’ve found out (accidentally) working out with weights (pull down types at gym) for arms has helped a lot for upper shoulder and neck but never thought of doing yoga. Maybe in 2012 I can find some time for it. Thanks!

    1. Hi Lisa, thanks for stopping by! I plan spend more time practicing yoga in 2012 also. Hopefully we can get some relief for are aching muscles and release some tension too.

      Happy New Year!

  24. Yes the biggest disadvantage of blogging is that you have to sit in-front of computer whole day and in between all this we all gain weight like Ms. Ileane ha ha just joking. Ms. Ileane i think you should go for yoga at-least 10 time in a week not 4 times.

    1. to be honest, that is what I thought at first when it came to blogging. Honestly, you don’t have to sit in front of the computer all day, in order to accomplish your blogging efforts for the day. Let’s say for example if you are a full-time blogger earning a living on the World Wide Web, just from your blogging efforts alone. Who wants to sit at the computer all day? Certainly not me, as I can understand what you’re coming from. I’ve been thinking about this recently and how to overcome sitting at the computer all day, when creating and publishing blog content and article content to the World Wide Web. all you need to do basically to work from anywhere is to either take your laptop with you that has a wireless air card that’ll enable you to work from anywhere in the country, or, have an [Apple iPad] with wireless Internet enabled. From there, all you need is speech recognition “so that you won’t have to type every blog post on your “Apple iPad” or laptop when out and about blogging from anywhere you please”, as you’ll be able to work from anywhere “as previously emphasized” and [create unique web content at light speed] using [speech recognition], while increasing your blogging productivity, as well as your online advertising $ gUaP $ from your hard blogging efforts. Does all of this make sense to you? 🙂

    1. Excellent advice Moshin. I take a flask of hot water to bed (not literally) and first thing in morning drink hot water and throughout day keep cup topped up..some days I am more disciplined but when I do sip and drink water my energy levels and sense of clarity is improved. Tfor sharing.

  25. can we potentially look forward to “Ms. Ileane personally creating a YouTube yoga basic blog tips video”? 🙂

    (smile)

    LOL

  26. I have been doing yoga since age 12 and it has definitelly changed my life and my entirer future. I saw a video on line about how yoga can release deep seated disturbances just a therapist would with examples.

    1. Hi Chuck, great to see yoga forms such a key role in your life. Yes, yoga is magically. My very first private client started yoga to help her ease her grief after her divorce, she needed “a quiet space to think things through” and ease the tension in her back. From my own personal experience, yoga, breathing and meditation are my key saviours when I lost my brother and even during my recent divorce, the ability to breathe helped to keep me sane. So, I heartily agree yoga helps to release deep seated disturbances, especially as emotional pain is often locked in our body. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  27. I didn’t do yoga this morning, but I managed to exceed my cardiovascular goal. The original plan was to do 20 min. of walking and jogging this morning on the treadmill. Instead of stopping at 20 min., I exceeded the cardio goal, and went for three more minutes, for total of 23 min. on the treadmill this morning on an empty stomach. I have a New Year’s transformation goal of losing close to or 100 pounds of unhealthy body weight. Somewhere along the way, I will try to perform some yoga, in adjusting my mind to new healthy exercise routines. Please pray for me 🙂

    1. What a wonderful way to start your day and every best blessing as you move towards your health goal. Keep us informed re your growth/progress. I am wondering how we can weave more yoga into your routine as it will definitely help to support your inner desire and motivation, esp when munchies are readily available. Do you breathe? Have you thought of spending the first two -five minutes when on treadmill as a mini walking-breathing-meditation. And during the day, take a few moments to mindfully stretch or even before you eat, just reconnect with your breath and give thanks. Yoga is more than “physical stretching exercises” being mindful and aware of how you sit, stand and move is all part of your “off-the-mat” yoga practice. keep it going and thanks for sharing your goals. We will support you:)

  28. I appreciate it so much that you are supporting me in my “2012 transformation” to make healthy changes. I’ll be posting updates soon on YouTube video and sharing it on social networks, in addition to sometimes sharing a [YouTube video link] here on basic blog tips. I’m definitely motivated this year to lose the unhealthy weight, and make healthy additional spiritual changes as well. I’ll keep you posted 🙂

    1. Hi Drewry, hows the Healthier 2012 Transformation Programm coming along. Share your ups and downs and remember to take it one breath at a time. Hugs

      1. Ntathu,

thank you for asking. The 2012 transformation is going pretty good. My stomach got a little bit smaller, the cardio is up, change my eating habits, and not eating much Szechuan buffet like I used to. I’ve also cut down on heavy meat consumption as well. Pray for me 🙂

  29. Hi Ileane,

Sat at our desks all hours of day and night is sure to affect our necks, I know it does mine. I’ll give this a try and see if it helps 🙂

Another excersise I do with my neck when it aches is: Lower my head to the point of pain and then take a deep breath, hold it in for as long as possible while keeping the head still, then slowly breath out and the head will lower in the direction you hold it.

I do this forwards, backwards and to both sides and have found it really does help.

I’ll give the Yoga a try and see if it helps avoid the aches and pains in the first place, as it’s better to avoid than cure 😉

Thanks Ileane, Happy new year to you 🙂

    Take care, Barry

    1. Hi Barry, congrats on your Sunshine Awards…well done and long may you continue to smile shine and share. Just checking how your neck is feeling and whether you have had a chance to try out the yoga self massage. In addition to your tip, have you tried just keeping the neck in position and gently focusing on your breath and breathing into the surrounding “achy area”. Its all good. Take care and stay blessed.

  30. let’s make it a great day today, folks. I just finished writing my first SEO web copy this morning, and getting ready to get it in all crazy on the treadmill, with doing 40 min. of cardio on an empty stomach. Let’s put our best foot forward today with good solid nutrition and exercise. And away we go! 🙂

  31. Apt title. Bloggers need exercise a lot for sitting long hours blogging. In my opinion, most of the bloggers(including me) do not spend minimum required time for exercise, leading to long-time problems like spondylitis. Your article was an eye-opener for me. Thanks for the video.

    1. Definitely agree with you Venkat, re the effect of blogging and sitting for long periods of time in same slouched position. We have to make a conscience effort at least once an hour to take a few minutes “yoga-stretch break” otherwise by the end of the day your body is stiff and achy and energy sluggish.

  32. Hi Ileane, I have a question for you. I have been commenting quite often and I noticed that the link back from Basic Blog Tips was “no follow” and did not show my keyword in the anchor text category. when I got my open site explorer report for this month. Do I have to make a certain amount of comments before I see the keyword and follow attribute. I do comment for the benefit of the link, however, I have learned so much since I found your site. Also, how can I add my photo? Please advise

    Dori 🙂

    1. Hi Dori, the DoFollow link applies to CommentLuv and it only goes into effect after I approve it (typically after 5 approved comments but that can change on a whim).
Do you have a blog with an rss feed?

  33. upon awakening tomorrow morning, I plan on doing 20 min. of cardiovascular exercise on the treadmill, on an empty stomach. My stomach has been getting flatter recently, as I’ve noticed I’m down 1 inch off the waistline. I motivated to keep going the extra mile this year, with God help me 🙂

  34. I have tried Yoga when I was in India (We had it in our school). Yes, it is a great exercise to keep your body and mind controlled and relaxed. I am glad that people are noticing the benefits of Yoga. Thanks for the video and the post, Ms.Ileane!

    Jeevan Jacob John

  35. why thank you kindly for the competent. I do have to admit it is a hard job, but someone has to do the work in losing weight. I hope to accomplish losing or come close to losing 100 pounds this year 🙂

    1. wow..congratulations. You must be buzzing. Do you have a “target/ideal physique/weight” you are aiming for. keep it going. looking forward to your blog post about your progress:)

      1. Ntathu,

thank you so much for the kind complement. I appreciate you. This year, I have a renewed transformation goal of losing or coming close to losing 100 pounds of unhealthy body weight. Thing is, I don’t look 100 pounds overweight, but my stomach is out of shape. Today, I did some exercise which consisted of lower abdominal leg raises, in addition to performing five sets of push-ups@six reps each, for total of 30 push-ups in overall. less than 10 min. ago from the time this comment was posted,I just accomplished being on the treadmill for 26 min., when the original goal was to only last 20 min. I get a combination of walking, running and jogging for the time on the treadmill. I feel a little bit lighter now, a little extra happy year, and sitting here munching on cinnamon life cereal, dressed in almond breeze soymilk… LOL

by the end of this year, I hope to be or come close to weighing in at 160 pounds. If I’m able to accomplish that, I’ll be looking like a real real slender person. I missed the high school days of being superthin, which is why I have 160 pounds as my targeted weight goal 🙂

  36. thank you for asking. The weight loss is still working, as compounds are still coming down. Last night, I did cardio for six hours “just walking”, and went to sleep as soon as I walked in the door on an empty stomach “to lose more weight”. Right now, I’m taking protein shakes, as well as eating tofu and steamed imitation lobster meat. I almost slipped today and went to hibachi buffet lunch, but resisted at the last minute. So now, I’m waiting for the tofu and imitation lobster meat to finish steaming, so I can sprinkle some bread crumbs and soy sauce on it and some extra seasoning, say my grace, and chow down 🙂

  37. I’m taking a rest from doing cardio tonight, but will [get it in tomorrow all crazy] with exercise and doing some “treadmill transformation work”, in [getting down the pounds], faster than [Richard Simmons] can clap his hands thrice… LOL 🙂

  38. Yoga is such a good way to relax your whole body. I have tried this and this is so good. I even think I will start doing this more often when I feel a little fatigued. The steps are also very easy to follow. Good job.

  39. Ileane, thanks for getting back to me about the do follow after 5 comments. I hope to be approved soon 🙂 I love tuning in to what you have to say. I do have RSS feeds for my site treatingtinnitusringing.com, for some reason they are not getting grabbed by your software. They do show up when I comment on behalf of my other 2 sites. I have to look into this. Any Idea why they are not connecting??

    thanks again
    Dori

  40. Hey,

This has been encouraging. I have been just a regular on and off with exercises. Though I did try yoga when in college and found the effects to be more than amazing. Not only I had better flexibility I loved what it did to my stamina! I am thinking I should be starting it again! 🙂

      1. Yes, I’ve started cardio in the morning but I would love to get back to yoga completely.

    1. Hi Hajra..glad to hear you found the videos useful…good luck in getting back into your yoga practice. Start gentle and focus on one breath at a time…Let us know how you get on and how we can support you start again. Thanks

  41. if you decide to get back into yoga anytime soon, would you mind creating a few YouTube videos and sharing them with us? 🙂

    1. Hugs Drewry, glad to see your motivation and inspiration is still riding high, How’s the programme going? Yes, Ms Ilene and I have plans to create more videos..I also need to get my act together and follow the embed videos blogs and other useful blog posts from Ms Ilene..so I can share more of what I love via audio and video. As we say..one breath at a time. Stay focused and remember to keep body and mind hydrated during day with regular water breaks (I sip hot water or herbals during day..which is nice and refreshing)

  42. Being into team sports, I have to admit that I never took yoga as seriously as I should have. Just now, when those days are over I enjoy the benefits that Yoga gives me.

    1. How lovely to hear of your enjoyment of yoga. Thats the beauty of yoga..its timeless and there whenever we need it. Take care and thanks for sharing your story. Peace

  43. I’m up late night creating unique content and engaging on blogs and discussion forums. Who else is awake at 1:10 AM ? 🙂

  44. Yoga is one of the reasons I’m healthy today. I’ve been doing yoga every afternoon with my wife to keep us relaxed everyday, even if we are working on some important stuff too.

    Dan lew

    1. Dan, that is soooo wonderful…yoga with your wife in the afternoon..now that’s what success and freedom is all about. Thanks for sharing

  45. Wow really Nice article and vedio Ms.Ileane! We should do yoga with our daily busy shedule. Thanks for sharing this type of Article With us.

    1. Yep..definitely agree..all this sitting around working on laptops and busy schedules we do need to stretch and relax our bodies. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  46. just wanted to stop by and let everyone know although I won’t be doing yoga today, I’ll be getting on the treadmill in a few minutes and doing some cardio. I’m still dedicated to trying to lose 100 pounds this year 🙂

    1. Yay..well done Drewry..glad to see you are keeping the show on the road and staying with your programme. How’s it all going? Any positive changes? Stay blessed.

  47. the road to rerailing health and fitness is quite challenging. I enjoyed a healthy and delicious hibachi Szechuan lunch today. I’ll be doing cardio tonight, in efforts of getting down the pounds 🙂

  48. I’m getting ready to head out the door and a few minutes to go do some cardio. Most likely, I’ll be doing some walking, because it’s raining outside. And, I may do some extra cardio later on too 🙂

  49. Yoga is such an enriching experience when done right and in turn affects the mind and the body and sets you up for the rigours of any day. I would like to introduce it to my schedule but all in good time.

Sometimes you just need a little break to sort things out. Thanks for the post!

Yoga is amazingly good. Ease from pain and relaxing your body are actually ways to stimulate a healthy and creative mind.

  60. If I may add, Yoga is also about regaining spiritual peace while you subject your body to the effort of maintaining a certain positioning. I’ve practiced it for quite some time and felt great but I’ve lately abandoned it under the pretext of a too busy schedule and an alarmingly increasing laziness 😀
